Mother-child interaction behaviors according to job satisfaction of employed mothers

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the mother-child interaction behaviors according to job satisfaction of employed mothers. Mothers who have a job and children without any medical diagnoses were participated. The subjects were selected 22 pairs of mother-child dyad who scored high level of job satisfaction(11 pairs) and low level of job satisfaction(11 pairs). The results of the study were as follows: first, in free play situation, employed mothers who scored high level of job satisfaction showed high score in interaction behavior rather than mothers who scored low level of job satisfaction. second, in structured play situation, employed mothers who scored high level of job satisfaction showed high score in interaction behavior rather than mothers who scored low level of job satisfaction. This results could have limitations, because of ignorance of other factors which could affect the interaction and insufficient studies of mother-child interaction in natural situations.
